Children's International Consortium on Acute Leukemia
The Children’s International Consortium on Acute Leukemia (C-ICAL) initiative is a partnership between the 91国产精品 (ASH) and the that seeks to improve the care of pediatric patients with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in the Caribbean.
Five centers in four countries will implement a standard-of-care treatment protocol that has been tailored to meet local resource considerations. Participating centers will conduct a prospective observational study to determine whether clinical outcome and cure rates for pediatric ALL patients improve with a uniform protocol.

Goals & Objectives
The goal of C-ICAL is to bring together clinicians and researchers in a concerted effort designed to accomplish the following objectives:
- Build the capacity of local clinicians for conducting clinical trials.
- Foster exchange of clinical information among those professionals working under protocols initiated through the efforts of the C-ICAL (the "Participants").
- Disseminate the results of the clinical care, supportive care and laboratory studies.
- Serve as a resource to clinician investigators whose research activities are consistent with the goal and objectives of C-ICAL.
- Promote drug availability in countries where certain important approved drugs, or promising experimental drugs (both therapeutic and for supportive care), may not be available.
