Structure and Governance
The Society is governed by its Executive Committee composed of the president, president-elect, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and eight councillors, all of whom are elected by Society members. The vice president serves as president-elect and president in succeeding years. The Society has 14 standing committees, which recommend policies, programs, and actions to the Executive Committee. In addition, the 18 scientific committees develop the scientific sessions presented at the annual meeting, advise the Society on science policy priorities, and identify new and underserved areas of research. ASH welcomes nominations for leadership and committee positions.
